Getting you and your family immunized or vaccinated is a very easy way to prevent getting serious. The hepatitis virus infects thousands every year. There’s no cure but a simple immunization to prevent it.
The following 10 dangerous diseases are prevented by routine shots given to children: polio, measles, mumps, German measles, diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough, meningitis, chicken pox and hepatitis B.
Ask your doctor when you and your family need vaccines. Be sure to keep your immunization records in a safe place.

Use antibiotics appropriately. If you get sick it is important to use antibiotics appropriately. But antibiotics are powerful drugs used to great certain illnesses. But antibiotics do not cure everything, and unnecessary uses can be harmful. Basically there are 2 main types of germs that cause most infections: viruses and bacteria.
Viruses usually cause colds, flu and most coughs. Bacteria cause most ear infections, some sinus infection, strep thoat and urinary track infections.
Remember, antibiotics kill specific bacteria but viruses don’t contribute to the development of drug-resistant bacteria. Each you take an antibiotic unnecessarily or bacteria. So it is really important to take antibiotics only when necessary. Because of these resistant bacteria, some diseases that used to be easy to treat are now becoming nearly impossible to beat. Also, antibiotics don’t work against colds and flu.
